Well, you've read the notes, the notes were ravishing, and now it is time for you to post until the ravishing cows come home.

My niece has seven chickens and we put up netting over the otherwise open outside area so that it might help prevent outside birds that might have avian flu from infecting her chickens. :-\

The problem with my sleeping is that my arthritic joints cannot get comfortable. Once I finally for to sleep. it was after I had tossed, turned, and tried many sleeping positions. I did dream that I was working with my dad at some construction company and my dad volunteered me to follow a co-worker home to allow him to take a car home. I would follow in his truck. I didn't know the vehicle or where the hell I was going. We got to the Lincoln Park area in Middletown when I lost him, and everything went to hell.

The news of DR Danise's death is very upsetting. The last time I saw her, we went to New York City Opera to see Gilbert & Sullivan's comic opera Patience, starring Michael Ball. She was a very kind - very innocent, too, in the ways of the world - lady dealt a shitty hand of cards by the gods and a rotten, manipulative mother.

Today Access-a-Ride will take me to my pharmacy for my many, many meds before I head to City Center. The weather at the moment stinks, so I hope it improves.

I got a boxed set of Hugo Alfven symphonies from the library. Swedish composer from Sweden. Imagine the boisterous baby of Sibelius and Johann Strauss. Highly enjoyable.

TOD:

My eclectic list mixes some of the establishment with a few more obscure composers:

J. S. Bach (always #1 for me)
Ludwig van Beethoven
Benjamin Britten
Maurice Duruflé
Samuel Barber
Aaron Copland
Leonard Bernstein
Robert Baksa (highly imaginative American chamber music composer)
Herbert Howells
Ralph Vaughan Williams
Morten Lauridsen
Eric Whitacre

and Levar Ravel, too, of course.

Monday morning greetings.

I’m stunned and saddened to hear of Danise’s passing.

A Scotsman walks into a bar. He notices an animal head mounted on the wall. He asks the bartender, "What's that?"

The bartender replies, "It's a moose."

The Scotsman's eyes widen, and he exclaims, "Bloody 'el. If that's a moose, I don't want to see yer rats!"

Did you hear about the new Verdi production at the Met?

It seemed like a good Aida at the time.
