I gave the cats their nightly treat, tried to rise from the floor, lost my grip, and fell to the floor, luckily missing the cat tree and the bed frame. And there i lay, flat on my back, locked inside an apartment and unable to rise. The legs are useless. I panicked and began to yell for help, then wept in frustration. i did push myself out into the small space between bed and computer table, still calling for help.

There was knocking at the door and I called that Judy in apt. 3D had a set of my keys. It was Pixie, the neighbor below me who helped me get off the floor and calmed me down. Stella is now looking after me.

There is no water in the building right now. It's been off since noon. Water main break in the neighborhood. Last update was that they're hoping to get water restored by 10pm.
