Carole Cook has died. She was 98.

Oh, my goodness!  What a long life...and career!  She definitely was a unique performer.

Carole Cook.....I remember her first from her episodes of The Lucy Show.....and then of course the Cast LP of 42nd Street.

She was always so much fun when she was on the various television shows - panel, variety, and sitcom.

And all the S.T.A.G.E. recordings that she performed on.

I loved the episodes of The Lucy Show when all the women were on the Danfield Ladies Volunteer Fire Dept.....Danfield, Connecticut.

And she and her husband Tom Troupe used to be on that show....where married couples answered questions about each other....Bert Convy was the host.....and the people had tv screens in front of them....and we saw the folks offstage with their headphones on....Tattletales.....

How did you meet?

He was a math professor at a University and was my (then) boyfriend’s advisor for his senior thesis. They became friendly during the process and we began to socialize after John’s graduation.

Eventually  we both dumped John but we kept each other.

Watched one episode of a documentary about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward - made by Ethan Hawke and so naturally it's very odd. Nice footage, though. I'll watch the other episodes after the Kritzerland show is done. I'll now try to get the commentary at least assembled, then we'll see how much I actually have to write.
