Open enrollment ends Sunday at midnight. We are not working on Sunday, but we are working all day Saturday. So I expect today and tomorrow will be very busy.

And we observe the holiday Monday, so that will be a nice break.

I just heard the Funny Girl commercial with the former star of Glee, and I really hate both her voice and her pronunciation.

She’s still doing a Streisand impersonation.

It's poor one: Streisand never uttered such affected pronunciation.

We’re picking our own subject today, and I’ll stick to the standard one. This week I watched the new Blu-ray of INVADERS FROM MARS (1953) which is a gem of restoration.

But wait, there’s more! On Sunday morning I’ll be at the exquisite Bedford Playhouse watching it again, in 4k on the 38-foot screen, along with Robert Harris and the film’s restorer Scott MacQueen who will be presenting it and having a Q&A session afterward.

So that’s one way to spend a Sunday. Right? It’s an ugly job, but somebody’s got to do it. Right? Now, if I could just go right from there to the Kritzerland show, I’d really be doing all right, wouldn’t I? Wouldn’t that be one HELL of a day?

In further news, last night I watched for my first time ever:

RACE WITH THE DEVIL (1975) with Peter Fonda and Warren Oates.

Whoa. Holy moley.

It’s on a double feature Blu-ray with DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY which is what I was thinking of watching when I pulled it out. But I decided to broaden my horizons, and so I did. As I sit here right now, in this recliner, they’re pretty damned broad.

Friday morning greetings!  Like DR Ron, I felt like yesterday was Friday, so today seems like Saturday.

Whatever day it is, I get to continue putting away Christmas decorations.  Richard says, “What’s the rush?”

Last year, when we had the early ‘60s aluminum tree up for the first time in a decade or longer, it ended up sticking around till sometime in March!

(Which, if blame is to be assigned, is no one’s fault but my own, as I am the only one permitted to put that tree up and take it down.)   8)

ChasSmith: The Ultimate Take-Down sounds like it would be quite exciting and suspenseful, no?

So a one-term senator qualifies, but a one term representative does not......I'm surprised they haven't voted to change that.

Oh.  If you mean my college graduation on the only Friday the 13th of 1986, that actually happened in June. ::)
