DR George:  The Kindle case looks great. Maybe I missed something earlier, but I have no idea what that waiting 24 hours, etc., is all about.

(I’ve never had an actual Kindle. I just use the app on my iPad.)

It was to allow the adhesive on the Velcro pad attached to the Kindle to completely set up and be completely secure.

LOL, nothing to do with your Kindle connection.  That makes sense.

I enjoyed DR VIXMOM's history lesson.

I have been advised thst Long Iskand is actually only 23 miles wide at the widest point and averages 14 miles wide

It sounded much bigger in the post about Long Island.

DR George I have enjoyed the photos of your Kindle case.

Thanks, Jane!

You are welcome.  I hope the case doesn't shut your Kindle off again and you can use it.

George, did you close the case on your Kindle?  A magnetic case will shut it off.

Speaking of madrigals, this is kind of an interesting (and somewhat wacky) video about another madrigal. It's about 12 minutes, but you can skip the "sing along" during the last part. It's interesting because it deals with the difference between "pure" intervals and the tempered tuning of the piano. And the overtone series.

That was pretty interesting.

Cool.  Are you planning a trip ;)

No!  It's just that the software update message keeps popping up on my computer, so I just finally decided to actually install it.

Curd is made. Encountered a new challenge: Separating eggs is not a one-handed feat.

George, did you close the case on your Kindle?  A magnetic case will shut it off.

I didn't even need to close the case.  Just setting the Kindle on the cast made it shut off.  I guess the magnet is just too powerful.

I imagine a book on the design and building of the Golden Gate Bridge would also be quite interesting.

I've never had a Kindle that had that option, so I've never experienced that.  You'd think the case makers would know that that would happen. :-\

I did not spring for the newest and latest, released a month ago. It is bigger, and since I mostly read in bed, didn't want the extra size and weight.

;D  It could be convenient locally.  I like to watch when I print to be sure it is actually printing.

Not something I managed to do when I was one handed.  Fortunately I didn't need to cook.
