I tried to listen to Arnold Schoenberg's Moses und Aron, but I could only last about 10 minutes.

So instead I'm listening to William Byrd's Masses for three, four, and five voices.

Got up at one, had a telephonic call first thing, answered e-mails, and then for reasons unknown, I started on page one of the new book, just to make sure I liked the fixes and the changes I'd made and whilst reading I made a few other changes and I haven't stopped since, other than get some food and eating it. It's just nitpicky stuff, and keeping the style very consistent and that's what I'm changing most - words that don't work because a character simply wouldn't say them, that kind of thing and being maniacal about it with this particular book. And I must say, I'm able to see things more clearly reading it and making the changes on the computer. And I'm still finding little typos and things.

I picked up my book and began reading, and decided I really don't want to read this.

I am reading The Confessions of Nat Turner as the last book in my William Styron rediscovery tour.....I hadn't read it since it came out....a few decades ago.

Still a very good book.

I returned Thistlefoot to the library and checked out a light hearted book in the Aunt Dimity series I enjoy.  A new person has just moved into the town, Mrs. Thistle ;D

Melinda Dillon has passed away :(  I thought she was younger than 83.

Thank you for the vibes and concerns about my carbon monoxide issue.

Last night I turned the gas wall heater off and used only the little space heater. I wasn't sure it'd do the job, but it did. Such even heat! It's far superior to the on-again/off-again gas heater. It's funny: my reservation at first with the space heater was that electric heat usually runs up your heating bill. But the local gas company is using more natural gas now and that has run up the gas bills. I paid $22 last month, but this month's bill will be over $115! The electric heat may turn out to be cheaper, at least for a while.

Aunt Dimity! I read a couple of those books. I loved the first one, then the author went in a different direction than I preferred. Author's perogative! But fun.

Ushered for Shen Yun tonight. I’ve seen it too many times.
