From the Department of Things Unnecessary. From the WaPo’s book editor:
Oh, bother. The copyright on “Winnie-the-Pooh” expired at the end of 2021, and believe me, the Hundred Acre Wood has changed a lot. On Feb. 15, Jagged Edge Productions will release a slasher called “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.” In this nightmare version, written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, a feral Pooh and Piglet reportedly justify Eeyore’s morose mood by eating him. From there, the two fuzzy friends terrorize Christopher Robin and a group of college students camping in the forest. Spoiler alert: They all suffer fates far worse than getting stuck in Rabbit’s door.
