Oddly, when I lived with my sis when I first moved to New York I lived at 77th and 3rd where DR Elmore dropped Lotte Lenya off in his dream. Lesley Gore lived in our building. I never saw her, only her mail.

DR IRIS I would highly recommend both films you mentioned.

I like SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS a bit more than TRAPEZE - but both are certainly interesting and entertaining.

And in SUCCESS you get a lot of 1957-58 NYC location filming. And Marty Milner framed for dope!

Those are two actors I like in anything. Both, especially Burt, chose some challenging roles.

Fave Burt: The Swimmer and Local Hero.

Fave Tony: The Great Race and Sex and the Single Girl.

Tony did several films with his wartime buddy Larry Storch. Just got him parts whenever he could which I thought was cool.

Iris, Sweet Smell of Success is a brilliant but dark film. Trapeze is a melodrama but fun.
