Got a CD from the library of Ella in concert at Montreaux. She sings some contemporary material of the time, including two Bacharach songs, This Girl’s in Love with You and A House Is Not a Home. She also sings Hey, Jude and Sunshine of Your Love.

Had a Cobb salad for food, very good, Sami's mom came by with some Mellow Tone-in, which they say is very helpful in getting to sleep.

Congrats, Larry!

I need to do mine quite soonly, but I need to contact the credit union where my car loan is so that I can find out what how much interest I paid on it last year.

If I was sent a paper document, I can't find it ( ::) ), and I can't find how to get to my loan online.  I have an account, but it just leads me in circles.

Yay, hello DR TCB.  We do buy Walla Walla onions in the market when they are in season.

I'm just about to leave to go shopping for my sister, and she wants 5, count 'em, FIVE sweet onions!  Hopefully, they have some.  I don't know when the season runs.

You can find sweet onions, just not Walla Walla :)

Yup...that's what they had.

I just watched a wonderful PBS program about chef Patrick O'Connell and the 3-star Michelin Inn at Little Washington. I want to eat there.

Yikes! :o What's going on?  I just tried to upload a picture that was only 62KB and it said it was "full."

DR John have you read:
The Cellist of Sarajevo
The Kite Runner
Boys in the Boat
The Woman in White
The Enchanted
A Painted House
84, Charing Cross Road

Three Ivan Doig books:
English Creek
Dancing at the Rascal Fair
The Bartender's Tale

By Doug Marlette:
The Bridge
Magic Time

While not great, Grayson by Lynne Cox is a feel good book.

I read Woman in White, which I loved, and The Kite Runner, which may be in my top give least liked books of all time. Will check out a few of the others.

Your dislike of Kite Runner is why I tried naming a variety of books. I read Charing Cross Road before I saw the excellent film version.

ATLANTA (Feb. 18, 2023) — After a series of short hospital stays, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter today decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention. He has the full support of his family and his medical team. The Carter family asks for privacy during this time and is grateful for the concern shown by his many admirers.

Jimmy Carter has begun in home hospice care.  Even though he is 98 it is sad news.  Rosalynn Carter is 95.  No wonder they have been married an amazing 76 years.
