After storytime, the kids and I usually watch a couple short videos.

Tonight I showed them the “I Want To Eat Your Face” segment of The Creature Wasn’t Nice.

They enjoyed it. Though I had to tell them that we later find Dr. Stark was not actually eaten.

My son wanted a rather detailed explanation. I came up with the idea that it turns out the people the creature eats are merely absorbed and later when the creature is defeated, everyone he ate returns to normal.

It’s so damn funny when Dr. Stark is entering the glass case with the creature, and they’re yelling to stop him, and Leslie Nielsen blurts out the line Cindy had said seconds earlier, “This creature wants to eat the face of history!”

But I'm about to get ready to go out into the wilds of Tumwater in search of hoses and pipes so that it can be a working vanity...and earn its keep!

So, I did go to the local Home Depot, and I actually went twice.

I didn't get everything the first time, so I went back to get the screw part thing that connects the pipe that comes out from under the sink to the pipe that comes out of the wall.

When I was there the first time, I didn't know what size to get.

[George]

So, I came home and measured...a 1-3/4" screw part thing.

[George]

HOWEVER, when I went back the second time and looked, they only seemed to have 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" screw part things!

[George]

WHAT??

[George]

I looked all around, but didn't notice any larger sizes.

[George]

I think when I go back, I'll have to ask someone about it.

[George]

My friend Shelly said that she'd go with me so that we both can look around before asking.

I'm afraid we did not get to page ten.

If it turns out that they don't have the correct size, I wonder if it might be because standard sizes have changed since my place was built (1987).
