You know what I find to actually be MORE awkward than thumb-typing on a phone?

Holding the phone and scrolling/navigating all over the damned place, between apps and everything, all in one hand. Maybe it's the size of the phone. I have one of the larger iPhones, and its protective case makes it even larger. Must observe more people and the size of the phone they're using.

Definitely gratifying to see the Village Theater on the book jacket.

Speaking of which, this can now be an Ask BK:

BK, did you see my post #78 yesterday with the pic taken in Westwood? I was posting it while you were having internet problems. I didn't ask you specifically, but if you can shed any light on the things I was wondering about, that would be great.

I so wish I had a "film diary" and had kept track of every movie I saw, and where... like the one BK has stored in his mind!

So what is in store on this bright sunny day?

I need to get started on some laundry. I want to change the bed, and there's a load of clothes waiting to be washed.

But I don't have to go out anywhere today, which is good. So it'll be laundry, a little straightening up, and some piano practice.

Wednesday morning greetings!  We are back after a spur-of-the-moment trip to Chicagoland to visit with our granddaughters.

Does anyone call Muse Margaret - Margie?

I cannot shake the feeling that this is a Monday.

Yesterday - a snow day - had the two housemates at home, and it felt like a Saturday throughout the morning and afternoon. Then it felt like a Sunday evening. Today? Monday all the way, baby.

I've got to get myself back in sync by tomorrow so I don't forget to go places and do things.

I just read an Op-Ed column entitled "Matty Gaetz and the Performative Art of Dumbf**kery."

Yes.

From Singdaw:

The Zoom was with Daniel, the recipient of one of our first puppies that we raised for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

It was a wonderful reunion. His current guide dog is named Boon - a black lab.

That is very nice.  I am interested in how you became friends.

I used to babysit my friend's puppies that went on to become seeing eye dogs, all except one that failed.

I am attempting to post on this phone using my thumbs instead of holding the phone in my left hand and pecking out the words with my right. You know. The way “everyone else” does. Or at least the Young People.

It’s not just the kids, some adults seem to manage it, too. It’s just something that’s been bugging me, so I’m trying. Probably best not to be seen trying it in public yet. I’m definitely not ready for prime time.

I don't manage too well doing it that way.

Well, John, maybe your class can learn this dance instead. It doesn't seem to use knees.

We are supposed to get rain today. I hope so. That will really benefit the wildflowers this year.

But then, it probably means that the desert will burn starting in May.
