ChasSmith, re Bel Air - I'm pretty sure the camera shop in your photo isn't Bel-Air - I think they were always in one location. Of course, around a month after this photo was taken we'd be previewing Nudie Musical at the Regent, sold out, and resulting in Paramount buying the movie.

Jrand, no Margie - her husband occasionally called her Margo, but not me.

I know. If only I'd been walking through there snapping pictures when Nudie was there.

Yeah, that sign would surely have included their name if it had been them, and I think you're right. It was only on Westwood. But at some point there was a change -- maybe they downsized, or completely redesigned the interior of the store -- because I have two distinct memories of how it was laid out inside.

Well, John, maybe your class can learn this dance instead. It doesn't seem to use knees.

DR Jane - that was the first guide dog we "raised." We attended the graduation, met our dog's person, and just stayed in touch over the years, even after our dog retired.

I know my friend went to, at least the first graduation.  I don't remember her meeting the person that took the dog.  I loved the dog.  If she hadn't passed we would have been a four dog family as there was no way I was letting anyone else have her.  That is if my friend didn't take her.  She too was a black lab.

The new Camelot sounds boring. And I really dislike the slow pace of Lusty Month of May. Too introspective. No fun.

Back from cashing a check and the news that Union Bank has now been bought by US Bank and no longer cashes using that giant ATM they have - very irritating. But there was no one in the bank, so I  just had the teller do it, which takes five minutes longer than the machine. Eventually, I think I'm going to make an account there, then it will be easy, but I'm concerned that the merger or whatever it was will cause more people to come to that branch.

Then I went to Marshall's, we watched the trailer/sizzle reel thing, I think we only added one little sound effect to make one shot land better, and now he just has to wait until Doug sends him the cast cards in color and two little cards that we need, one at the top, one at the end.

Then I went to the nearby branch of my bank and deposited the cash. First time no one in there at all, so that was nice.

You visited me at Union Bank when I worked at the Wilshire/Beverly Drive office.

Then I moved to the office on Wilshire and Western.  I was able to meet my Dad for lunch when I worked at that office.

When Keith started working at Caltech I transferred to the Pasadena office so we could drive to work together.

Our house is in disarray with contractors replacing some of the floor. Goodbye linoleum. But I must say having people in my house fills me with unease.
