I hot glued the tray and it lined up well, but I wasn't able to remove the very thin glue strings which were left under the tray.

Since I used the low temp hot glue, the glue started to cool before I was able to get the tray all completely lined up and applied, so it didn't quite stick as well as it should've.

I was able to
very carefully
remove it from the digipac, and that ripped the paper a bit, but I was able to cover the white part with markers of similar colors, so it's not really noticeable.

Then, since I ordered the 5-pack of trays, I was able to practice, which really helped.

I got it glued down, the rips are hardly noticeable, and the CD packaging looks like it's the kind of packaging that is should've been!

You can see the glue string and a scrape on the plastic where I unsuccessfully tried to pull out the glue string with tweezers.
