The Fred Meyer and Costco in Bellingham are also right next to each other.

There wasn't a Costco in Bellingham when I went to school there.  The Bellis Fair Mall (if it's still called that) had just opened.

I’ve yet to experience a Fred Meyer store.

I'm sure that they're all fairly similar...variations on a theme. :)
