DR Jane, in answer to your question, we were observing the ice directly, from a vantage point very near where we live overlooking the river.

In theory I agree.  At the same time I feel books in school libraries, especially elementary school, should be age appropriate.

I remember reading The Exorcist in seventh or eighth grade, a big no-no in a Lutheran school. That time I didn’t get reported, but the teacher told me not to share it or show it off.

I never used to have spring allergies. Somehow, in the past few years, that changed.

I was once told moving to Arizona would not help with my allergies as too many non native trees and plants are there now.

A next-door neighbor loaned me a bunch of books that I was ready to read but would have been considered adult: Exorcist, The Godfather, Summer of 42. I hid them from my parents. And I did return them.

I have nothing to report, except that I did a lot of cooking yesterday. I cooked down a box of tomatoes into sauce, and I roasted a turkey that was 49 center per pound.

You can make Hot Browns with that turkey. Drooling at the thought.

"Hot browns"?  Qu'est-ce que cest?
