Tonight after work I went to ALDI to return a bag of apples I bought yesterday

The packaging was such that you couldn’t see the apples clearly, it I usually give them all gentle squeezes to see if they feel firm

I guess I was in a rush and when I got home and opened the bag every apple was bruised in several places

I went in with my opened bag and receipt expecting a difficulty

Since there is no customer service desk I went to the nearest cashier and asked who I coukd speak to for customer service

The guy called for the manager “ customer needs assistance “

I said “I bought here yesterday” opening the bag and reaching for my receipt

And before I could finished my sentence he said, “that’s unacceptable, that should not have happened, I am so sorry. Would you prefer a refund or a new bag of apples?”

I said I would prefer new apples and he took the bag from me and said , please choose a bag , and told the cashier I would be getting a new bag of apples and did not have to stop back at the register ,unless I needed to do additional shopping

In addition to the aforementioned shops we also have a large Shoprite and a large Stop and Shop , all within 2 miles of my house.
