My prescriptions originally were best gotten at Walmart, and I've been wanting to change that. So, a timely heads up on Walgreens which will henceforth be avoided.

I have chosen not to support Walgreens any longer, since they are caving to the far right and refusing to provide abortion medications, even in states where they are still legal.

Yup.

I received a check in the mail from my former bank for $5.64. (My old bank back in Connecticut)

I have just resigned my job and henceforth am considering myself retired.

Ta-da!  The End.  Sorry those scans aren't so clear.  Clicking on them might help a little.

Is that "North by Northwest?"

I had tried Psycho, too, back then, and though I definitely had the gist of it, there were many small details my ear failed at. And hell, that's probably still the case. I threw that one away long ago. Fortunately, that complete score is readily available now.

For dinner, I am having the most delicious bean curd and mixed veggies from my favorite Chinese takeout. I love Chinese left overs.

Donald Trump has landed in New York. I honestly thought he would flee the country and head to Russia and his good friend Putin.

Maybe they will be better tomorrow.

Why do I keep thinking that DR ELMORE's news flash should be followed by:

"Lock up your daughters!"

But there are more notes on that paper than Mrs. Dionne ever had to write when the quintuplets were home sick from school.

DR JOHN G - George Furth did not say where he was calling from, but there was a lot of noise in the background.

And wherever he is, HHW must be available there.

I like that musical. I even like the film with Glynis Johns (am I remembering that correctly?) as Mrs Squeezum.

The gourmet recipe on the box for Dolly Parton’s brownies doesn’t make sense. It tells you to bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted comes clean. The you top it with something they call a filling and then bake for another half hour. I will just make the basic brownie recipe on the side of the box and frost the brownies with Dolly’s chocolate buttercream frosting. Then sprinkle pecans over the top.

I dunno, but Alexa played Glynis singing Send in the Clowns this morning. I had forgotten how touching she was when she sang that.

The complete Chicago Light Opera Works production of The Golden Apple is currently on YouTube. It is so much better than the Encores! production, which had some wonderful moments, and the PS Classics recording which has cuts and strange musical direction from a fool.

Okay, let's try this again.

In totally useless news, I recently unearthed the sketch of my uncompleted transcription of the main title music of a highly admired motion picture. I recall doing this in 1972, from the one recording that existed on LP then. I never completed it, and except for a couple of short snippets from musicals over the years, I've never done any other real transcribing. But I was stunned to see not only how absurdly neatly I wrote it then (it looks like I was using a ruler throughout!), but how accurate I believe it actually was for a 23-yr-old DR ChasSmith. Anyhoo, for your viewing pleasure, here are all three pages. Since I didn't even write a title on it, I'll leave it that way, and some bright musically inclined person here can say what it is.  :)

Wow...that is absurdly neatly written. :)
