After passing out leftovers, convincing people to take desserts home, washing up , throwing out the garbage and the guests I brought my leftovers home and called WFO

He had wisely turned down my offer to attend the day’s festivities

But he verified it was indeed not too late to drop by with leftovers

[vixmom]

So I popped by and we had a very enjoyable chat

And now I am home home again jiggity jig

[vixmom]

Vixdad had retired to sleep when I left for WFO’s

[vixmom]

He had failed to escape to the kitchen and instead had to endure listening to a “child free” (as they say these days ) woman lecture the 7 month along first time expectant parents about horrendous labor complications, the disaster that is the modern education’s system, the horrors of society in general on the well being of children and proper parenting skills and methods

Though I am not exactly sure how this miracle occurred

I bet Jack’s family is truly sorry to have missed the scintillating conversations

[vixmom]

Also all the people other than mom, Vixdad and myself are showdog people

[vixmom]

So there were detailed discussions of the gastrointestinal health of the various dogs they currently or previously owned

Other than that the play was wonderful,

So how was YOUR Easter ?

There's a story in there somewhere, but I am not sure that documentary was telling it.

I think it committed the sin of not showing Jobriath’s music in the best light, which was the whole tragedy of his life to begin with. Except that lovely animation that closed it rather powerfully.

Had a nice Easter dinner at the in-laws over the border. Each of whom asked me, “Do they celebrate Easter in the U.S.?”

Came home and watched the latest Succession, which, wow.

Saw a mediocre play done in mediocre fashion - It's Only a Play by Terrence McNally. A wonderful writer but not a wonderful play - very jokey, very inside, and very smart-assy, with no characters that you care about.

I hate it when that happens.

I used to sign my postcards “Having Wonderful Time. Wish you were here.”

Ball’s big solo is “Having a Wonderful Wish (Time You Were Here.)”

Every time I hear or read a sentiment like that, especially in regards to postcards, I remember an actual postcard that I saw YEARS ago...and I found it online:

After, we went to Genghis Cohen and had a splendid meal.

At least it was a good way to end a not-so-good theatrical experience.

Just talked to Karim Hazime who plays Sami's BFF - got him on track for promoting the show.
