Locally, the "news" was rather lacking the past week. Everything was about the Masters...everyone was so excited. The "news" featured different stores that were having record sales. Free advertising is what that is!

And man-on-the-street comments were rife. If it weren't for the weather forecast, it would have been a complete waste of my time.

The Masters is an economic boon in my part of the country. It's moreso in Augusta, of course, but many folks locally make a tidy sum of money renting out rooms and houses to those participating/attending the tournament.

One local caterer was hired out to cook for a house full of participants.

We are roughly 25 miles away from the Masters course.

No Manhattan woman alone in her right mind, unless she's a prostitute, opens the door for a raging man she does not know in the middle of the night. She calls the police and has him evicted.
