So, Ginny, when’s the book sale?

The book sale isn't until September, but the same group has a big garage sale coming up in June.  My priority now is to donate stuff to that and this summer we'll gather books and such.

I have got to get the books in this apartment in order and sorted into three categories:  keep near me, put it on the shelf, and throw it out.

Of all of the network evening panel/quiz shows, which was your favorite?  And did you have a favorite panelist - or a panelist you just wish they would skip?

What's My Line, always. Bennet Cerf was my favorite. I loved his accent and intelligence and humor. Arlene Francis, too.

Wednesday morning greetings - long time, no see! 

We've had an interesting couple of weeks and it's probably going to become more so in the months to come.  Richard and I submitted an application to the retirement community where his mother lived and it was accepted on Monday.  That means we're officially on the waiting list for a house.  There's not much available at the moment, but, in the meantime, we're getting our current home ready to list when the time comes.

And, as if that's not enough excitement, Richard spent another 3 nights in the hospital last week with an encore of what had him there in January.  No surgery this time, thank goodness.

So, this week we have Tyler and Scott here doing this and that to make our house just presentable enough - roof, wall, and ceiling repair in the family room, new flooring in the downstairs bathroom, and some siding replacement around the new front steps.  Being tired of this kind of stuff is one of our big reasons for initiating the move to a retirement community.

Does this mean they take care of all repairs?
