Well, you've read the notes, the notes were spirited, and now it is time for you to post until the spirited cows come home.

I was up at 5:00 this morning. I'm ewxpecting an Amazon Fresh delivery shortly, and I needed to get feeding the cats out of the way before it arrives.

I am very sleepy, so I suspect that I'll be napping with the casts around noon.

After I've finished putting away the Amazon Fresh delivery and kitty cleanup, I will work on my last two fixes (so far) of the ballet. The music from 1875 has some lovely moments - although Ludwig Minkus is left in the dust by the ballets of Tchaikovsky and Delibes - but the ballet was set in a fairy tale India, and Minkus wrote a lot of "exotic" music that doesn't sit well with the new ballet.

The original 1875 ballet was a tragedy about the ill-fated Bayadere (Temple Dancer), the Prince, and the Princess he must marry. This new ballet is a comedy set on an Arizona movie set in 1930 with an aging star, the pretty young dancer, and the cowboy star.

So, I need to remove, then rewrite or revise the more exotic music. In some cases, I'm completely rethinking the music. For instance, the aging Diva's first appearance with her entourage is now a tango, and the young dancer and cowboy star have a beguine at one point. I've also added a bit of Dixieland and a rowdy polka. I'm really loving this work..

Saturday morning greetings!  It’s still very humid and I’m about to turn on the air conditioning.

I must pay a couple of ugly bills, and finesse a couple of things on MainStage for tonight’s concert.
