This weekend I took jrand’s advice and wore all of my jewelry. Passersby looked at me rather strangely. I know my valuables were feeling homeless without a safe deposit box to reside in. It didn’t seem right to give attention to the jewels yet neglect the important documents, so I clipped on the title to my car and my passport as well.

On Monday I went to the new bank and opened a new safe deposit box. Everything is now safely stowed. The bank staff were all very nice and gave me a full explanation of their procedures. An entirely different experience from last Friday, when the teller refused to help me without an appointment.

The tiara was the tricky part. The damn thing kept slipping. I tried to secure it with a couple bobby pins, but it rather spoils the look, don’t you think? I managed to finally  squeeze it into the safe deposit box. I’ll have to be careful when I open the box that it doesn’t jump out at me.
