I trekked to Portland in morning traffic to my yearly appointment with the endocrinologist.  She is worth the trek.

Fortunately my cough is a little better today and she said my lungs sounded ok.

Really funny was the commercial for hearing loss I watched before the video began.

Last night I watched the extras on the blu-ray of Dragonslayer, one of my favorite fantasy films. Tonight I'll watch the movie.

In 6th grade, our teachers showed us Dragonslayer. They had to warn us up front that there was a brief bit of nudity (very important in that it revealed a character was not who they said they were). We were so excited thinking we were going to see something dirty. It lasted like 2 seconds and we could barely see anything. Nowadays, the teachers would probably be fired.

We watched Little Big Man in class. The bathtub scene would probably have gotten that teacher fired.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  I spent about an hour at the AAUW garage sale site unpacking the stuff I’d taken in to donate.  While there I administered first aid to one friend who’d scraped her hand and commiserated with another who’s about a month ahead of us in the process of moving to Mount Pleasant.

Is this person pleased with the process?  Do you know other people who live there?

Finally got the Amazon explanation about the hardcover - it's on them - a technical glitch for any ISBN starting with the three numbers the my book starts with - and that's thousands upon thousands of books, from print on demand to traditional publishers. They're fixing it in "batches" and so we simply don't know when they'll finally order it and have it in stock - but they're real sorry.

I have listened to the soundtrack for the new The Little Mermaid.

Can't speak to the movie, but keeping in mind that no one can top Jodi Benson, the vocals are pretty good.

The only problem is that I left both my sunglasses and my garage door opener in my Impreza.

Being able to keep the loaner in my garage would be a good thing.

Are you going to get delicious, fresh French pastries at every performance, DR George? For realism, of course.

Sadly, no...they built prop pastries onto which they're going to spray whipped cream each night.
