So many years ago we were planning a production of South Pacific.

And there was only one Indy costume shop still open - and I didn't really like what they had to offer.

So.....

I went on EBAY just as a lark.....and typed in SOUTH PACIFIC costumes......and there it was.....a touring company was offering ALL of the costumes for the show for something like $1700 plus a few hundred dollars for shipping....less than it would have cost to rent the show.

Starting Days of Heaven. First time I have seen it since it was in the theater. Everyone in it was so young back then. The great Brooke Adams, Sam Shepard, Richard Gere. And Linda Manz walks away with the movie. Love the cinematography.

So....we bought the whole thing.

And a few weeks later it arrived.

It was indeed the entire show......and as summer approached I got even more excited.

And our Nellie & Emile fit into their costumes perfectly. And a couple of dozen nurse's uniforms and all kinds of men's uniforms.

It was great.

And someone wanted to buy the costumes from us.....so on closing night - we packed them all up and made all of our money back - less shipping.
