Everyone knows the Claude Bolling suite for flute and jazz piano trio, but I am listening to the one for cello and jazz piano trio, which is also delightful.

Enjoying Tom Hanks’ novel, which has the too-long title of The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece

Cleo the dog was the best part of that show!  I remember once someone asked her what she was doing sitting on the kitchen stove....the dog looked at the camera and "her" voice said:

Now and then I just get the urge to ride the range.

I do not watch ANY late night talk show any more.  I watched Carson up to a point.  I watched Letterman.  Never got into Leno or Rivers or Colbert or O'Brien.

I guess Jimmy Kimmel is the only one who sort of makes me laugh.  But none of them make me laugh like Steve Allen did.  His man on the street interviews, his soap operas that panned to faces in the audience, his introductions designed to deflate egos....his piano ad libs.....

I agree with MR BK - it hasn't evolved - late night television has devolved.

This week, George C. Scott was a TOD. I’m now starting The List of Adrian Messenger, which I have never seen.

The ticket chairperson email me to tell me I'm not doing my job she didn't see anything about our season or GREASE on the Arts Illiana (Indiana/Illinois).

There were two emails.....that's what the first one said.  Then the second one sent ten minutes later said "Never mind....it's there....I didn't see it the first time."

I loved Letterman since his daytime talk show. I like Arsenio Hall for a short while. Never liked Leno or Conan. And I haven’t seen any of the newer ones except for Colbert.
