The young me went to see The List of Adrian Messenger on its first run, and loved it. Even if I didn't totally follow everything that happened. I know I was thrilled with the ending, and to this day I have always remembered the ---

I guess Jimmy Kimmel is the only one who sort of makes me laugh. But none of them make me laugh like Steve Allen did. His man on the street interviews, his soap operas that panned to faces in the audience, his introductions designed to deflate egos....his piano ad libs.....

Steve Allen was great.

I just saw an online fundraiser auction where one of the items was a basket of "banned" books.

I thought that was a clever idea.

Iris, one year Keith took our Holiday letter to work to make copies. He returned home and handed the stack of letters to me without saying anything about them. To my shock, at the bottom of the letter, it said we went to Williamsburg for my birthday (Dec 7th).
