The extras of Rear Window include Peter Bogdanovich. Fits in with the extras of Paper Moon.

When we lived in the country, we had some rhubarb plants....and our mom would send us out to get some stalks and make a delicious pie.

And then one hot summer day, I watched our dogs walk over and sprinkle the rhubarb with their own special flavoring.

After that we didn't have any more rhubarb pies.

DR JANE I didn't realize how much I enjoyed being in the same classroom with my brother until he wasn't.

Final evening at the in-laws house. We move them to assisted living tomorrow. Then we’ll do a little prep and cleanup here. Have a company come and sort out all the junk. House will go on sale in a few days. Bittersweet. Wife’s only childhood home. It was nice having the option to come here and visit or stay if our power went out or whatever. But they just couldn’t stay here anymore.

It is a shame what has happened, yet fortunate you moved close by in time to handle this.

Best of wishes and coping vibes to them in their new space.

Great story, JRand. Rhubarb is a favorite food, but it’s high in oxalic acid, so it causes kidney stones. Love-hate.

You really don't want to eat it.

The first time I had Rhubarb was in a rhubarb/strawberry pie.  It was good.

Well, I must get ready and hie myself out into the wilds of Tumwater so that I can get to and perform in today's matinee performance of Sunday in the Park with George. :)

And here we all are in our act one costumes.  The Nurse also plays Mrs., but she was in the Nurse's costume at the time, so no Mrs. in the group photo

Nice photo.

Thanks, Jane!

Back from a nice lunch with Marshall Harvey. He'll now properly sync Champion so I can watch it properly.

Nice!

Also picked up Diet Cokes - four for fifteen bucks - that's as cheap as it gets.

Fred Meyer is having that same sale right now...for both Pepsi and Coke products, so customers can mix and match between those brands.

Now watching a Buster Keaton short before bed. It’s called Neighbors and there isn’t much of a story except Buster seems to love his neighbor. The cops get involved. Mayhem ensues. Laughs and kittens and falling pants.

Four?  Cases?  2-liter bottles?  6-packs?  Surely not cans.

That night the Daredevil Opera Company was executing “Faust” — and he deserved it.

Great subtitle in Keaton’s Haunted House
