In laws bed was too high for them last night so in a panic they called their concierge who delivered a rollaway while MIL insisted on sleeping on the couch. I’m certain she barely slept. Place was very apologetic and they had put in a new bed before I showed up to check on things. Back on track, I think.

(Note: I had had my MIL test getting into bed yesterday but by day’s end it was just too difficult.)

It did. At the time I thought it would be easier for them to get up from it. Didn’t work out, but place was quick to fix it.

I completely understand the difficulty of too high of a bed. My biggest issue is getting up during the night. I like my feet to easily step on the ground so I don't fall while jumping out of bed to deal with a foot cramp.

I enjoy Mexican food. There are a couple of sit-down restaurants in Tumwater. Plaza Jalisco is the better of the two. There's road construction at the intersection where PJ is (Trosper Road and Capitol Blvd.), but it's manageable.

I have a fairly tall bed with a mattress topper on top.

They'll need to get some new part(s) that will take 4-5 days to get, then another 4-5 days to do the work.

The thing is, for us of a more mature age, that low beds are hell to get into and out of. Of course, if it's too high, it's again a problem.

It's best that they find the right height right away.
