I don't know what I'd think of it now, but back in the '80s and '90s, maybe even a little beyond, a pizza treat for me was having a couple of slices at Sbarro's in a mall. That, in my view during those years, was good pizza. Aside from the taste, I thought it had a unique texture, a little different than other pizzas I'd had. I really do wonder what I'd think of it now.
Actually, I wonder that about the other two chains I frequented back then: Domino's, which I only used for delivery and sometimes getting it free because with where I was living at the time, it would take just over 30 minutes for them to get it to me. I'm probably the reason they had to nuke that program. The other one was Pizza Hut, before they cheaped out and ruined one of the best things they had going for them - the Pepperoni Lover's. I believe it had extra cheese, and an extra layering of pepperoni underneath the top layer. And I thought their pizza was pretty good, anyway. But when I discovered that the Pepperoni Lover's had become just like a regular pepperoni elsewhere, that was the end.
