We did Act Two twice and I got some new business and ad libs that have been director approved.

He gave me an ad lib and I made any even funnier one....so points for me.

We are using real handcuffs - and it's NO PICNIC.

Golly, I don't remember them using handcuffs in PICNIC.

This was Russ Meyer’s Picnic, not Inge’s.

I see...I wish all this revisionism would stop.

And now I'm thinking back to dialog from a few days ago.

CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN....a traffic cop stops Clifton Webb's car....

Cop:  Say, are all these your children, or this some kind of picnic?

Webb/Gilbreth:  They're all mine, brother, and believe me - it's NO picnic!

I have lately been despairing over the possible sanity of some FB posters.

Tonight, I responded to a question on the TCM fan page.   The idea was to name an actor who you always see as the same character he or she played in a film, not matter what other film her or she is in.

My response was Jack Nicholson.

One of the self-appointed thread police asked "But for what film?"

I replied:  It is his Jack Torrance character in "The Shining" that I see in all his other film characters.

I thought that answered the question, but no...the same person came back and decided he needed to tell me what the question was and to explain to me that it was intended to identify an actor who, no matter what movie he is in, always seems to be playing the same character.

(!@#$%@#)  You may imagine what went through my mind.  I looked this person up to see if perhaps he might not have English as a first language.  And I considered that Jack Nicholson might be his favorite actor and he was simply being argumentative that I had selected Jack.  I sought out his response to the question.  He had typed "Robert Preston as Harold Hill in 'The Music Man'."   Okay, I thought.  And what more should I say?

My reply was that I had stated exactly what was required, and that it could not be more clear.  Please advise if I need to spell it out for you.

Crickets ensued.

I have always felt people folded over large slices of pizza to make them more manageable to eat with one hand.  I confess I've never seen one dipped.

In Italy, I discovered the joys of perfectly cooked "calzones".  Prosciutto and mushrooms were my favorite filling.  Even then, I used a knife and fork.

I see there are five of us logged in plus one invisible/muted guest.

I will leave all of this to you lot...it's bedtime.  Have to be up early tomorrow to get ready for my doctor's appointment.

Good night.

But it was the instrumental version by Morris Stoloff that topped the charts in 1956. Music by George Duning.

Watching a really weird documentary, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace. The entire first episode of what I already know will be a way too long six-episode thing, is like watching a real life Orphan movie. I won't finish this tonight.
