Back - from two stops that should have taken 15 minutes but took about 45 minutes due to some extreme construction being done on a two-year project of road widening on the main drag through here.

But I got the cat food, and just in the Nick Redman of time.

DR RON PULLIAM the exact same thing has happened to me a couple of times - with folks who are NEVER early!

I know.  Maddening and infuriating, ain't it!   LOL

I can't remember if I posted this already. if I did, I apologize.

I think you should apologize for even thinking you had posted it before...and for posting it this time, as well.

Ooof!

DR Ron, now I know why Keith always has been text and say we have arrived ;)

Sharon normally does this to let me know how far away they are because she knows I'm waiting.

She apologized yesterday for not letting me know they were inside, and she said that Butch was so excited at seeing Benjamin that it skipped her mind.

Here are a couple of the pictures - me in the Cessna 150 (two-seater) I learned in, and a close personal friend in the Cessna 172 (four-seater) I later flew.

And yes, I still have Snoopy. He needs a good cleaning.

Great pix, DR ChasSmith!

I 3xpect it won't happen again.  It was an honest mistake,  easy to forgive.

Pretty infuriating experience, DR Ron. At least you got a nice visit out of it.

I did.  As for the infuriating part, I'm more mad at myself for not getting in line when it began forming.

As we were saying our goodbyes, Benjamin hugged me and said I had been an excellent role model for him.

I was nonplussed as my contact with him has been sparse over the years.  When I expressed surprise, he said it was because of things my relatives have told him about me over the years and because of the way I have related to him when we were together.

I must say I have thought of that quite a bit.

That was a very nice compliment.

As much as I like visiting cemeteries where my family is buried, no way am I going down there even if I had all the money in the world.

I guess the first question that I have not seen answered is how is there not a homing beacon of some sort on the sub so if contact is lost, it can still be located?

Last summer or fall, I bought a three-pack of nice safety goggles to replace the ones that come "free" with things like chain saws and other such. They were made to be more comfortable to wear, and probably easier to see through and to clean. A couple of them were clear, and one was tinted for use in bright sun.

I determined that there was still plenty of use to be had out of the freebies, so I took the three out of their bubble pack, or whatever they came in, and put them safely away...

                                                    somewhere.

So would somebody please tell me where in the HELL they are?

I mean, now that the last "free" pair has apparently had enough fun, and broke when I picked them up and put them on?
