There is little to no food in the house. Contemplating Chinese delivery.

I have a lot of childhood memories of my mom stretching the phone cord while cooking and talking to friends. Unfortunately usually a smoke dangling from her lips as well.

Ditto!

My sibs and I can all imitate the sound of my mom laughing and exhaling cigarette smoke at the same time while on the phone.

Had to take kids to Real Washington for pediatric checkups so we hit the Costco.

Costco has some grapes that the packaging says “taste like cotton candy.” My son was excited about this so I bought a container, knowing he’d be disappointed when they were merely sweet and not like cotton candy.

The joke’s on me. The taste exactly like cotton candy!

Friday afternoon greetings!  I helped Richard in the basement a bit this morning then went to our neighborhood coffee shop for a DAR meeting.  Had to have a nap after that  8)

Listening to Sitting Pretty. Beverly Lambert is featured. She was also the Anne in New York City Opera's A Little Night Music.

She was the children's choir director for a short time at my church in Connecticut growing up, so I sang with (under?) her.

But I wouldn't rule out an ice cream coma, either. One day, I will get to try Graeter's.

DR JOHN G do you use a slider board to help your mother get into and out of the car.

We used one for our father and it is a great help and much less lifting.

No. She’s actually able to get into the car from her wheelchair without too much help.

Good.

Do you know how many books have been written about tying knots?

The Shipping News. Hated it.

I read this for a book group.  At first I truly hated it.  By the end of the book I thought it was great.

What a fun photo.

It was taken for the newspaper. They did a story on her when she won a blue ribbon at the Kentucky state fair.
