As many here already know, "The Mousetrap" continues to be London's longest running play although it's minor Christie in all respects. More than 10 million people have seen the play in the theater in London, thus far.

FWIW: "See How They Run" is also the title of an English comedy in three acts by Philip King. Its title is a line from the nursery rhyme "Three Blind Mice". It is considered a farce for its tense comic situations and headlong humor, heavily playing on mistaken identity, doors, and vicars. I played a vicar (the Reverend Lionel Toop) in one production when I was in college, and, as president of the little theater group, I produced a version in Naples, Italy, in 1976.

Vixdad and I had the opposite reaction. We found it funny and entertaining.

I knew it must appeal to a lot of folks. I was a bit tired when I watched, and it didn't keep me from a 20-minute nap, but I did rewind and see it all.

I enjoy many of her earlier works, like "Alice doesn't Live Here Any More", "Tom Sawyer", "Candleshoe", and have admired other performances which, all things considered, don't really connect as films I would watch again, but she was splendid in them...films such as "Nell", "Sommersby", "Taxi Driver" and "Freaky Friday", etc.

I watched a movie this afternoon that I had been totally unaware of: "Moonfall", directed by Roland Emmerich. It stars Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson.

Not a bad sci-fi film..it certainly had a doozy of a premise. That said, I won't watch it ever again. Nothing awful about it, but no truly exceptional moments, either.

Last night, I watched a movie I had heard of but, for whatever, reason had never seen. It was Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart".

I remember the activism of those early days of AIDS. The mortality rate was through the roof. No one in government cared to lift a finger. The NIH was a particularly ineffective organization with its leader not fronting anything that wasn't his idea or his treatment plan.

The film is very well done, and the leads are quite solid, including Taylor Kitsch.

The day before, I finished off watching "Angels in America" which resonates as a masterful story on all levels.

I have started watching "Fringe"...and am through the 5th episode of season 1. I watched the show faithfully when it aired on the Fox channel way back when I live in Oakland.

It packs quite a bit of story into each and every episode, and it lives up to the idea that "fring" science is very much in play in the world around us.
