This afternoon we’re going to do some errands and go out to lunch to celebrate a momentous anniversary. Fifty years ago today I interviewed at Miami University-Middletown for what would be my first professional librarian position.

I don't miss the anxiety I associate with needing a wake-up call. I would get them in foreign ports of call -- Hong Kong and Perth, primarily -- to ensure I got back to my ship on time.

I really enjoyed the room service!!

Yes, always anxiety if you needed a wake-up call. Usually they were very early in the morning.

Graeter’s just announced a “bonus flavor” - Buttery Popcorn: A sweet & salty, buttery ice cream with crunchy popcorn clusters. Now, I like popcorn and I like ice cream but NOPE.

I think the method I went to next was setting the clock radio in the room. Don't remember how long that practice would have lasted, either.

Regarding alarms on the clock radios, we have learned the hard way to make sure they have not been left set by the previous occupant of the room.
