At the 10-hour mark, Paul Rudnick’s book, Farrell Covington and the Limits of Style, has gotten good. It has also gotten sad. Another recounting of the start of the AIDS era. And it’s very effective.

Just watched the original ending of Chilly Scenes of Winter when it was called Head Over Heels. It was happier, but not successful. Bergman could have pulled it off. But I am glad Silver was able to do something better, truer to the character, even if the original ending is closer to the book.
