Mostly we ordered from our favorite Thai restaurant and sometimes from our favorite Mexican restaurant.

I have had periods of vegetarianism and veganism, DR Jane.

If we had company and I didn't have time to cook we ordered from our favorite Italian restaurant.

The restaurant did offer meatless burgers, as well.

The food was delivered right to your dining table.

The original farm to table!

Hey singdaw - nice to see you in a happy place.

I'm excited about an "extra" book by bk this year.

I've almost been convinced not to use food delivery services because of the cost and how much the mark up is.  It's tough for a single person, really.  It's hard to justify the extra cost, although sometimes I just don't care!

Good to see everyone here.  Everything is good here.  Opening a production of Bright Star next Friday.  Love this little show - it's definitely a blue-grass Lifetime Drama.  Our cast is great - our band of 5 (keys, banjo, fiddle, guitar and bass) is perfect for our small space.  Looking forward to the work this next week to get it in shape for an audience.

The restaurant did offer meatless burgers, as well.

I actually prefer the taste of a good bean or veggie burger.  The fake meatless ones, no so much.

The original farm to table!

That was when we lived in Ashland, from the garden to the table.  OMG it was good.

OH MY GOD is it hot and oppressive out there.

Mainly, I'm just not used to it. I'm trying to remember when it last felt like this here. It's only 90 damn degrees, but the humidity makes it feel like you're walking around in a whole different gravity. When was I last in this kind of heat at all? Not sure, but it's been a while.

I know this is how the South feels in much of the year. And I know (and remember from childhood) that you do, in fact, get used to it.

Hell (or HELL), we lived in Fort Lauderdale with no A/C, and there were only certain times of year it would feel like there was a heat wave or something. Because we had, in fact, gotten used to it. That's unimaginable today.

I had to go across town because I wanted to pop into Trader Joe's, so I did a couple of other things over that way as well. And once you park the car in an open parking lot, lock it up, and then get back in...  wow.

DR Jrand72, perhaps your Anything Goes choreographer can swipe some of these liturgical moves.

Neighbor brought by a fresh salmon he caught this morning off the coast. I baked it up and had some for lunch and refrigerated the rest for later.

Well, here's a how-de-do!

I just went online to decide when to go see the PIPPIN that I'd played the auditions for a couple of months ago...

The one being directed by David Galligan who BK had worked with...

And someone else is listed as the director!  I wonder what happened.

Oh, my! :o

From DR George:

This was interesting, thanks for the link to the article.

You're welcome, Jane.

Last night I was invited by my son's schoolmate's dad to play some pub trivia at a spot in Canada. This place does it with a theme each time, apparently. Many but not all the questions revolve around the theme. Last night's theme was aquatic life. By chance one of my three teammates is a marine biologist. Definitely came in handy. But I answered a few key questions too, and... we won. Just like the good ol' days when I played every week at Mercury Bar on 9th Ave in Hell's Kitchen. A rare adult night out for me.

Congrats, Rodzinski!

Hi DR George!    Thanks for the link to that article.  My friend's mother worked on the Manhattan Project in Chicago and she was very interested in reading it.

The restaurant did offer meatless burgers, as well.

But do they cook them on separate grills?? ::)

My niece also likes good bean or veggie burger that does NOT mimic the taste or texture of real meat.
