DR Jane, I keep seeing articles about how much trouble the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is having.

Long article to follow.

Hi DR George!    Thanks for the link to that article.  My friend's mother worked on the Manhattan Project in Chicago and she was very interested in reading it.

That's really cool!

But I'll bet it's better to be on page seven in the afternoon.

95 degrees here, with a heat index of 107.

Ugh.

Lunch today was normal for a Friday:  Baked catfish, grits (double order), a baked sweet potato and unsweetened iced tea.

I am still full although I ate nearly 6 hours ago!

I only go outside to water the 20 plants on my balcony.

It feels like a sauna.

At least I no longer deal with the 115 degree days when I lived in Phoenix.

Despite no rain having been forecast, dark ominous clouds continue to build up overhead.  The weather guesser now says a small cell is making its way around my County.

A look outside revealed no rain, but something that took me by surprise.

Lots of little white fluffy spots on my lawn.

After I pondered it, I realize a contretemps must have taken place among the gaggle of geese that has been traversing my yard the past couple of day.s

Geese can be very touchy.

Freshly caught salmon.

Yum.

It is only 84 degrees outdoors, but it's nearly 98 on the heat index.  It is very close and very hot.  No breeze evident anywhere.

A thunderstorm is brewing.

Need to run outside to put the delicate plants under cover.

This happens almost every day.
