In the past two days, I have heard two different renditions of "'Till There Was You" where the singer learned the melody wrong. Beyond artistic license.

I won't name names, but one singer's initials were Frank Sinatra.

Another warm day ahead.  Mid-90s, at least.

I found a youtube video of Audra MacDonald singing a mashup of "What Can You Lose" and "As the Days Go By".

Performance 10; Arrangement 0

When Audra sings, it's heaven.  But there are too many lengthy waits while the tunes try to reassert themselves into the right melody.

Sound and video quality not so hot, though.

I also found a male vocalist singing "As the Days Go By".  Great voice, but he stands stock still, hands straight down his sides, and only his hands move while he is singing.

Expressiveness in voice; stultifyingly inert in presence.

There was no MegaMillions winner last night. Sorry, DR vixmom.

That just means a larger jackpot next time!

DR Rodzinski, I hope the staff that told Mrs R it was ok to be 10 minutes late apologized for the doctor leaving, and for not calling back to say he left.

My bank branch on 82nd and Broadway is moving to 79th Street and Broadway. So last Friday, I called the bank to ask if they were still at 82nd Street. The lady I spoke to told me this was their last day at 82nd Street and on Monday they would be at their noew location.

Was in Blaine area yesterday with the kids at a go-kart and mini railroad park. Found a fun ice cream/taffy/candy store near a beach in Birch Bay. Old-time vibes.

It sounds like a fun day.

The two highway borders back into the US had long waits, so I tried the 3rd border over, into Lynden, WA. Less of a wait, but boy, you drive that half hour over and suddenly you are in real hillbilly country. I expected Bo and Luke Duke to come speeding by me on the run from Roscoe.

So, when I planned my itinerary for today it was barber ay 83rd and Amsterdam, then Access-a-Rid would take me to Pildes Optical at 77th and Broadway. I would take a taxi to 79th Street, visit my bank, get Access-a-Ride casah, and then go to Staples and scan the scores before I went home.
