In all my experience, you use your Costco member card to activate the pump, but can pay with any card you want after that.

That's my experience, also, but the card has to be a Visa (debit or credit), not just any brand of card.

Opening night vibes for Matthew and company. Love that score.

When you get to Ashville …

DR John G - I LOL'd when I read your post.  I find Ashville one of the most boring songs in the score and one where I am constantly counting and missing patch changes and all the clave hits that I've programed into my part.  It's also the song that is in my head EVERY MORNING!

I think it's the most heartbreaking song in the score! I love it.

Could be the way the actress is singing it - not her vocals, because they are good - but the staging.  I don't know.

Jason showed up around 11:45 to set up my new computer. By 12:45, when he left, both computers were humming away as the files from the old Mac transferred to the other. There's about an hour to go, and tomorrow my new Mac will be up and running.

Back from a nice lunch with Marshall Harvey. Barone's - we shared their medium pepperoni pizza, which is ten little pieces. Two pieces wouldn't even make a regular slice, so we both ate around two and a half slices in reality, maybe three.

Two irritants of the day. Irritant 1:

Guy orders a CD yesterday. We ship it yesterday. Today, he opens a PayPal dispute saying he's e-mailed me and hasn't heard back nor has he received confirmation, even though it says in BOLD ALL CAPS that the PayPal receipt IS the only confirmation you get. The dispute says "item not received". I respond immediately saying the item was shipped the same day he ordered it, and I provided the tracking number and told him to immediately close the cast. I then go to the Kritzerland e-mails. His e-mail came in at 5:37 this morning. So because he hadn't had a response by noon he opened a PayPal dispute. I responded a little differently to his e-mail, telling him when his email came in, that it was really unreasonable to expect a response that quickly, even more unreasonable to open a PayPal dispute, and color me baffled. I told him to close the case. By the time I returned he'd closed it but not responded to the e-mail. What is wrong with people? Seriously, what is WRONG with people. Has the Internet just turned people into complete morons?

I think of all of the TRUE LIFE stories I have read on HHW....and there have been some wonderful ones....

Is still the boy who tried to get into DR VIXMOM'S car with a bass fiddle thinking that she was the UBER driver he had ordered.

Irritant 2:

After lunch, I went to the bank to deposit a small check. I come down a lane but all places are taken but I can see in the next lane over, several empty spots. Only I can't get to the next lane because a HUGE Cadillac Escalade is blocking the lane so no one can get out of it to exit or go to another lane. Its hazard lights are flashing. I honk. A young girl at the ATM turns around and gestures I should go around her humungous car. I manage to do it with about two inches to spare on either side.

I park and hurry over so I can give her a piece of my mind, but she knows I'm coming, runs to her Cadillac Escalade and bolts. There's a security guard there, talking on his cell phone. I said to him. "Why don't you pay attention - that idiot was blocking everyone. He saw who it was and apologized. I am so sick of rich entitled jerks like this young girl. Want to know what her Cadillac Escalade cost: Sticker price? $160,000. Yes, entitled. She could have simply turned left and left again to the next lane and parked in an actual parking spot, but she couldn't be bothered to do that and instead blocked everyone in that parking lane from exiting.

Not easily, and not without holding on to a stair rail.

Fortunately, there are hand rails.

But not necessarily available if it is busy ;)

In all my experience, you use your Costco member card to activate the pump, but can pay with any card you want after that.

Hmmm, that is what we expected but Keith didn't see that option.  I guess you just need to know this.

I expect the same card we use to pay inside the store would work.
