For those who don't know it, the FDA has updated the requirements for blood donations to allow more donors.

I get a lot of emails selling book cycles called "cozy mysteries."

Is this a new genre? What does it mean, exactly?

The violence isn’t Swedish noir extreme. It’s not gruesome or belabored. It’s cozy. For murder.

I was introduced to the term cozies by my friend Bonnie, because they are something she would never read.

Thank you, DR Laura. And about time, too.

Well - it seems that the FDA has outlawed or banned or otherwise declared incandescent light bulbs verboten.....and now we will have to use led bulbs in our lamps.  I guess I should watch the news more often.

I didn't know.  I wonder if I am now eligible.  I'll have to check.

Rodzinski, is the flooding in Alaska where you plan to be?  Good vibes it will be ok by the time you leave.

Yes, but it’s via a cruise, so I imagine we can stay on the ship if a town is flooded.

I never cared much for Batman as a comic book or a movie. I liked the silliness of the TV series, but I've had no urge to ever watch it again.

Not even the episode with Liberace as Chantal AND his evil twin Skippy? Or the one with Ethel Merman?

I think you misread my quote.

I do hope you can get off the ship, see the town/towns and do whatever excursions you have planned.  Seeing the glacier in Juneau might not be possible.

I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of glorious sleep. I was ready to sleep at two, but I got some ideas and so I wrote a rough version of what's coming up, then went to bed at three.

Presuming the rough version has stuff I like, then I'll have already done three or four pages.

DR Iris I looked at photos of Lahaina Harbor and can see why the fire swept through it.  It doesn't seem that large and that wind was moving fast.

I guess it also explains why people ran into the water to avoid the fire.

I decided to futz and finesse the new pages first and that's done now - a lot of it was pretty good, some not so much, but I think I got the tricky part just right. So, I've written seven new pages, and I have two more still sketched out from last night. Now I'll order food and then futz and finesse yesterday's fourteen pages.
