Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written after the ubiquitous crash, and now it is time for you to post until the crashed cows come home.

Hard to convey to the youth of today just how much hype there was for that Batman movie. It was a letdown to me. Obnoxious and no fun. Haven’t liked any Batman film except the 1966 theatrical version of the TV show.

Prince’s “Batdance” went to #1 on the charts and it’s as empty and dates as poorly as the movie.

Topic of the Day:  I don't think I've seen any Batman feature films...just scenes from the Adam West/Burt Ward TV show.

I stayed up later than usual, so I decided I would sleep in, and set the alarm for 6:30.

This is a big ballet day; I need to finish Part 2 of the Coda in Swing Time and get on to Part 3. I also need to call Quest Diagnostics for an appointment next week and try another call to the HRA people again about my Medicaid. I fear a trip to their offices may be necessary.

I never cared much for Batman as a comic book or a movie. I liked the silliness of the TV series, but I've had no urge to ever watch it again.

Last night we watched the first episodes of More Tales of the City. It's better than I remembered, but the first series leaves it in the dust.

Not even the episode with Liberace as Chantal AND his evil twin Skippy? Or the one with Ethel Merman?

I liked Tim Burton’s two Batman movies when they came, but I have had no desire to see them again. I enjoyed the recent The Batman.

I did not like Joel Schmacher’s Batman movies at all.

George, your sister was planning on going to Maui. 36 people there are now dead.

I was never a big Batman aficionado, even going back to the comics, although I do remember reading them occasionally. The Superman family of comics and heroes was my cup of tea. I didn’t even watch the TV series originally because as I recall, I was just into too many other things that year in high school and then I was off to college where I saw hardly any TV at all.

The first Tim Burton film was released just as I was moving from LA to Danbury, and a bunch of us had a great time seeing it on its opening night. But I didn’t follow that up with the other films, although I eventually saw them on home video. Years later I saw Batman Begins, which half interested and half bored me…and that’s pretty much where I’ve left it. I might enjoy seeing some of the TV series, though.

I liked some of it.  Michael Keaton was excellent.  Despised Jack Nicholson and saw no reason for the Prince songs except that he was hot and they wanted Prince songs in the film.

It made a wad of money; Nicholson took massive profits, as well...IIRC, he earned about $75 million off the film's initial run.  Have no idea how that has been impacted by television showings and home video sales.

TOD:

My favorite Batmans are the ones with Christian Bale, especially the first one.

I recently watched "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson.  Although very grim, it had a great deal of darkness, tension and excellent acting.

I did enjoy the Batman with George Clooney and Chris O'Donnell as Robin.  Sue me.

I hate, loathe and despise the film with DeVito and Schwarzenegger.

In "Batman Forever, I liked Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne, and I thought Jim Carrey was an interesting Riddler.  Tommy Lee Jones, however, hammed up Two-Face so badly, I got a headache watching him.
