Good Morning!  I guess I'll be going into work this morning.  <yawn>. I am really not looking forward to going back to school this year.  I've really enjoyed my days at home with my boys.  Speaking of which, DD JP is doing well.  Maybe a day or so left with the donut and the pen and he'll be a free little boy again.

I was talking to Ann about this last Friday. When I worked with the Gay Men's Chorus, I subscribed to The Advocate and several non-porn gay magazines to keep up to date on books, movies, and news that might be good for a choral piece. I also kept au courant with New York magazine. Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide, and otherthings to know what was going on with non-gay matters - there was a lot of overlap. These days I am completely out of it, and I miss the life that late I led.

About a year ago a new Chevron station opened at our freeway exit.

We try to avoid using it at their prices are high.

Today I noticed the price for regular gas is $5.19.

We'd hit a sudden high of $3.62 a few days ago (that was up from the $3.32-$3.37 range it had been in for a while), then I saw yesterday it had just as suddenly dropped back to $3.56.

And today it's $3.58.

Fred Meyer near us is showing $4.90, if the online price is correct.

That is the price before our Fred Meyer discount.

I'm up, I'm up - three and a half hours of not enough sleep. I was up most of the night, only falling asleep at around seven.

Got up at ten-thirty, futzed and finessed as much as I could before having to shave and shower and go to a lunch meeting.

Came home, finished futzing and finessing, sent Muse Margaret about 102 new pages, and then wrote five new pages. Coming up to a major sequence that will take the rest of the current chapter.

About to cross 80,000 words. Novella my ASS.

What's interesting is this manuscript is already 100 pages longer than Preview Harvey but has, at this point, 30,000 less words. That's because Preview Harvey never shuts up. This book has a lot of dialogue sections and those don't have nearly the number of words.
