We did a thing last weekend called Fly Over Canada.

It’s in a big room, you sit in an audience. I thought it was going to be like a big IMAX thing like those big screen movies you’d see at amusement parks in the ‘80s. “To Fly” was the big one.

The area in front of our seats disappeared and it literally felt like you were flying over vast areas of Canada, from east to west until we “flew” back over the very building the theater was in. About 15 minutes total.

No. When these have happened before, they were usually just one-offs, so I wasn't worried that it would happen during the whole show.

The illusion of flight was achieved with wind and mist (as we flew through clouds or past whitewater rapids), smells… it was pretty effective.

That sounds like a film that I saw during EXPO '86 in Vancouver, Canada!

They make a big deal of buckling you in and stuff, but your seat isn’t flying around. It’s being acted in by forces simulating speed in time with the incredible visuals. Your feet are off the ground though. Anyway, it was neat.
