DR Ron you were very lucky to have those eleven good years with your father.  I remember well the embarrassment of having friends over, and then not inviting them anymore.  Mostly those were my junior high school days.  In high school I slowly began having close friends over again.

I haz never attended a roadshow engagement. I was amazed and enthralled to read BK's list!

Here it is Saturday again.  This week whooshed by so very quickly.

Yesterday, I had several bouts of thinking it was Saturday and quickly remembering that, No, it's only Friday.

I am beginning to wonder if a time may come when I won't remember anything at all.   There is no history of that in my family, but I don't know how common it is to be unsure about the day/date among retired people.

I am certain my mom was on the right track by scheduling her days of the week in ways that helped her know what day it was.  She played bridge twice a week, volunteered at the genealogical society once a week, and had a hair appointment on a fourth day.  I believe the 5th day was always for shopping.  Saturday's were for going to the pool hall for lunch, and Sundas were church.

I do believe I should commit myself to some routine or other.

I find it helps to think about what day of the week it is before getting out of bed in the morning.

Last night I watched Jim Fall's clever romantic comedy TRICK, which I saw several times in its 1999 release. It still makes me laugh and moves me to tears. My friends Steve Hayes and Kevin Chamberlin are wonderful in it, and the two leads are amazing. Tori Spellig has some wonderful moments, but I think there's way too much of her.

I remember watching that and thoroughly enjoying the movie.

Of course, I don't remember anything about it now, other than I really liked it.
