Just enjoy being in a new place. What time of year again? The sculpture park is beautiful. Ask if it's a good time of year for any other gardens. I loved the plumbago.

It will be very hot here through Monday night. Not Texas hot, but hot nonetheless.

I think this is the day the plants decided to die.

I had a blocked toilet since yesterday.  I've plunged at least 100 times.  So, I went to the Home Depot and bought a snake.  I guess it worked as the toilet is fine now.  I know I live in an apartment building, but there is no maintenance on call -ever.  So, I took care of it.  I was happy to, now I own a third plunger and a snake.  Actually, one of the three is going in the garbage today. 

And these are the days of our lives

I had to buy one of those. I've used it once, but it was on the dishwasher, not one of the toilets. Glad I've got in on hand just in case.

BACK -- from JFK airport where I dropped off Nathan and Kristi for their flight to Tucson. They're taking a week-long vacation there, neither of them having been out west at all (except for a two-day visit years ago that didn't count). But they have a high school friend who they'll be staying with and exploring with, and it should be a great time.

There were the usual couple of bad traffic slowdown areas, but we got down there in an hour and thirty-five minutes, and I got back in an hour and twenty. That is pretty nearly record time.

I just got texted. In the "Rooftop" at the Jet Blue terminal, they had two appetizers and two drinks that totaled $82.00.

Time for me to rustle up some dinner.

It won't cost $82.00, I can tell you that.

Thank you.  We will be there on August 28th.  I'm deciding between staying in the port town or taking an excursion.  Options are Kourion, Nicosia, or Pafos.  Have you gone to any of these places?
