On a sudden whim last night I took out the AIRPORT set of movies, and watched the original AIRPORT. I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I was stunned at how damned good it really is. The second half is rather mind-blowing in quality suspense and fine movie making all around. I’m sad that I never went to see it in the theeder, that I can recall. It had to have been incredible on the big screen.

I think my sister and I saw "The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training" in the theater. That was really funny, too (to us, at least)...but Walter Matthau wasn't in that one.
