In 1965, one of the most refreshingly wonderful comedies hit the screen with a dazzling prologue of actual attempts at flying craft and inserts of Red Skelton trying some of the earliest attempts.   The main titles, by Ronald Searles, followed accompanied by Ron Goodwin's amazing "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" title song

In 1969, Paramount Pictures hired Ken Annakin, director of "Those Magnificent Men...." to direct "Those Daring Young Men in their Jaunty Jalopies."  The film, for me, isn't in the same league as "Those Magnificent Men...", but:

Ron Goodwin wrote of the most wonderful title songs ever and Jimmy Durante sang it over Ronald Searle's inventive visuals!
