I would love to give you a vibrant update of my day, but I have nothing.
I did watch the Clemson football game. After their serious drubbing by Duke last Monday night, it was expected that playing the small Charleston Southern School would be a cakewalk.
But...no...Charleston Southern picked off the QB passes twice in the first period to lead 14-7 at one point. At that one point, Charleston Southern had not even completed a series of downs and had no yards and no pass attempts but was LEADING Clemson.
Clemson looked befuddled and hopelessly out of its element.
But, by the end of the half, Clemson led 17-14.
At game's end -- after an inspired second half -- Clemson won 66-17.
But the team they managed to destroy wasn't even supposed to be compatible. This game was to recover from what they had hoped would have been a grueling opener against Duke (who won 28-7). Before the Duke game, Clemson had a pre-game rating of number 6 in the country. Going against Charleston Southern, they were ranked number 25.
That's all I know. And that is what the announcers told me to say if I were asked.
