Elmore snd Ginny, have you ever heard of Middletonisn named James Demetrion, who led the Hirshorn?

No, but my first Latin teacher was Kiki Demetrion; perhaps she's a relative?

This is a [cough, cough] milestone birthday.

I want you to know I searched and searched for a meme that had "singdaw" on it.  Closest I could come was "singaw", but those were accompanied by some cold sores on the mouths of the images.   Next best was "Happy Brithday, Singapore"...but...no.

So...

:))

The dream that almost had me shrieking went like this:

I was home for a visit with my folks.  I still had clothes at their place, and I found it necessary one morning to dress for school. (!)  (I was a grown man, so don't look too deeply into the circumstances.)   I tried on several things until I was very happy with a "look".  But time was against me, and I knew if I didn't hurry up I would miss my bus.  For whatever reason...a shower, I suppose...I had undressed and was rushing to find where I had put my clothes.   The shirt was over here, the trousers in another room.  Found socks and shoes.  And then I knew it was too late for the bus.

My mom was still there getting ready for work, but she had just enough time to get herself to her office on time, and I was really worred about asking her for a ride in a different direction.

So, I went into the kitchen where she was getting stuff together, and she looked at me rather oddly.  I told her I didn't feel very well, that my bus had gone and i had no way to get to school.

She made a funny face and said, "If that is true, then why are you sitting over there with your head on my lap?"

She turned her head toward a couch where she was sitting and I was leaning over with my head in her lap looking for all the world as if I had passed out.

I looked at her, horror on my face and hers.  "Am I dying?  Or dead"?

I woke up.  My heart was pounding!!!

Jack, I swear, if that Dream-O-Matic gets consulted, it had better be something POSITIVE.

Oh my, that is a scary dream.

I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate these drug-induced dream cycles.

At least you know they are drug induced and not something you normally suffer with.

Richard and I suspect James and Kiki are cousins.

I started on September 1. I'm currently down 16.5 pounds. A long way to go.

Congrats on a good start.

My doctor prescribed Ozempic to try to help me lose the weight, but I'm not taking that nasty stuff. I will try to do it on my own.

I was on Ozempic for a while to lower my A1C.  No weight loss came.

However, I was switched over to Trulicity.  Works better for A1C and I dropped 20 pound or so without even trying.

That's great.

Strange how these things work so differently for people. Trulicity didn’t work for me, but Maunjaro caused me to lose 45 pounds and lower my A1-C.

That is great.  Are you still taking it?

TOD - Erkenbrecher, which is a Cincinnati street named for Andrew Erkenbrecher, founder of the Cincinnati Zoo.  My favorite way to say his name was when ordering at the late, great Rookwood restaurant in Mt. Adams.  They had a menu of burgers named for famous Cincinnatians.  I ordered the

ERKENBRECHERBURGER

just because I liked saying it out loud.

Give it a try.

Love these.

I used to follow some site - maybe it was an email list, now that I think about it - documenting the horrible misuse of quotation marks. I'm sure there are many other such sites for various punctuation.

Could be. The family also had a Greek restaurant in Middletown.

DR Ginny, I can not only say it, I have said it, my parents could say it, and I even had the Erkenbrecherburger at the wonderful Rookwood. Sadly, I was only there one time. My folks had picked me up at the airport one evening, we all needed to eat, and that's where they took me. They'd been there a number of times. Loved that place.

The Repor

Following a few weeks of a stagnant $3.56, two days ago it had moved up to $3.59, and today it's $3.61.

Well, Ladies and Germs, halfway through September we have finally achieved the real... the only... true first day of fall feeling.

Our highs are now in the mid-70s, and it's dry.  DRY!!!  And sunny.  Imagine!

I have my RSV vaccine scheduled for tomorrow morning. I had to wait until this morning to book it, as the pharmacy's website wouldn't let me book it until I was the proper age.

Interesting but understandable.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening - whatever you are celebrating.  I slept so well, that I didn't hear both the alarms (both on my phone) and I got up a good 20 minutes late.  I made it in on time, but I hate to feel rushed.

The baseball game yesterday was great.  The Giants won in extra innings, so that was fun.

The rest of the day yesterday was weird, and today feels weird as well.  Not sure what's up.

Rushed but needed extra sleep after your excitement last night.
