I'm back from looking at two theaters.  First we looked at the Globe Theater, which is modeled on the Old Globe.  It gave me the willies, and we will not be doing our play there.  Then we looked at a theater in Hollywood which we all really liked.  The neighborhood used to be very sketchy, but it's come back in the last couple of years, and it's only a block-and-a-half walk to Musso and Frank.  The size of the stage works for us, they have lots of good lighting equipment, the seats are comfy.  We're waiting to hear about availability now.  It appears that there's nothing in there except acting classes - the theater is run by actress Natalia Nogulich.  We'll see what happens.

WOW!  The Globe!  Is there a smaller stage in that complex?

And I believe I walked by the other theatre you mentioned many a time on my walks to and from The Hudson this time last year.  I remember the signs for the acting classes - and that name!

I have been here for the past 2 hours trying to fix some photos on Adobe photoshop.  May I say how lovely this program is when it comes to fixing pics.  But it does not make it easy to save!  This is driving me nuts.

And now someone i saved the pics to my disk (don't even know how), and i loaded them to walmart.ca.  But now i can only find 1 of the 10 pics i loaded in my photolab.  What is going on????

Btw, I had to tape Big Brother. :(

Thank you for the dance DR Jose. I'm so often a wallflower or a chaperone these days.

I'm sure there's way of making some punny remark with chap her own but I'm known for never going with low humour. Not.

DRJose, I got a lovely email from Curtis about you this evening.  I won't tell you any more than that.  I had a great session with Tom Murray today, and we've a small bit of work tomorrow.  I'm about a day behind on what I wanted to accomplish by Monday on THE GOLDEN APPLE, but I will definitely finish on Tuesday, I do believe.  And now, good night!

Love SITPWG! I need to watch it again as I feel there are important subtle things that I missed. And maybe I am being daft but I haven't quite figured out the symbolism of everything being black and white in Act 2.

Black and white in Act 2. I don't rememer that. All colour in my version!!!
I too am a fan of SITPWG.  Very moving piece of theatre. A journey worth the making.

Whose version of SITPWG are you watching??

Sorry! Not everything. Just the cutouts of George in the art museum and the buildings on the island... I was thinking there was some reason for them to be black and white instead of color like the rest of the set.

Ahhh and now I feel dense. No matter, I still can't wait to watch it again. I also need to find my Sweeney Todd dvd which has dissappeared somehow.

Just back from comforting a friend who's having boy issues. We went for a nice walk around Astoria. I shouldn't have worn flip-flops, though - the soles of my feet are blistered and swollen now. Oh well...it's worth it, I guess. He seemed genuinely grateful that I took time out to listen to him.

In good times...and bad times...I'll be on your side forever more...

That's what friends are for...

DR Joey: When are you in the City? What are you seeing while you're here? You should stop by MTI - I can give you the grand tour and if you contact me before you come in, I might be able to scrounge up a couple of door prizes.

Good Morning!

Back from a very entertaining - although late-houred - double bill of Harry Kondoleon's The Fairy Garden and Anthony Minghella's Cigarettes & Chocolate.  Both pieces were directed by the Assistant Director interns here at WTF.  Very good work from them and from the actors.

...And it's actually a little chilly outside right now... which means it's very nice in my dorm room.  I hope to sleep well.

And speaking of sleeping... Rehearsal in seven and a half hours...

Goodnight.

No posts in an hour.  I just had a long phone call with my NY assistant Jonathan, so I'm still writing the notes, but since no one is posting I'll just take my sweet little ol' time about it.

I've been making a new DVD cover for BK's very own What If? (that I received most graciously from BK himself!).  I want to put it in a regular DVD case, so I took the mini-poster that Jose most kindly sent me during the run of the show and I scanned it and made a DVD cover.  I think it looks quite good...if I do say so myself. ;)
